(translated from the french) Desert 2 diverts the use of a video game engine. While games are usually subjected to a logic of exploration and conquest in a coherent universe, this facility offers a dislocated world whose function is contemplative. By changing the aesthetics of the game universe, it is also transforming our physical relationship to them. Not only see these images to immerse themselves and act, but to invent a visual function because there is nothing to do, nothing to kill, nothing to gain. Similar to the desert, these images offer the opportunity for contemplation.
